POSTPARTUM PELVIC FLOOR PT IN BRUNSWICK, MAINE
Care for the body that carried and birthed your baby.
Postpartum doesn't end at six weeks. Whether your baby arrived last week or years ago, your body deserves attention. Care happens in two settings, depending on where you are: in your home during the first 40 days, then in the office for recovery at any stage.
TWO SETTINGS, ONE APPROACH
The first 40 days at home. Recovery at any stage in the office.
The First 40 Days: care comes to you
In the first weeks after birth, you shouldn't have to pack up a newborn and drive to an appointment. During the first 40 days, I come to your home within 25 miles of Brunswick, so care can happen around feeding, rest, and your baby's needs.
Visits may include:
Gentle bodywork and soft-tissue care for areas of tension and discomfort
Gentle abdominal and pelvic assessment, as appropriate for your stage of healing
Breathing and gentle movement chosen for early recovery
Comfortable positions for rest, feeding, and holding your baby
Closing-of-the-bones care, when desired, as a ritual of rest and acknowledgment
Your baby stays close, and the pace follows the needs of the day. Plan ahead: reach out during pregnancy to reserve postpartum visits around your due date.
Postpartum PT in the office
After the first 40 days, care continues at 12 Pleasant Street in Brunswick, for recovery at any stage. Common reasons mothers come in:
Leaking with coughing, sneezing, running, or lifting
Pelvic heaviness or prolapse symptoms
Painful sex or pelvic pain
Diastasis (abdominal separation) and core weakness
Cesarean or perineal scar tightness
Returning to running, lifting, or the activities you love
Each session can combine whole-body assessment, hands-on and internal pelvic floor care when appropriate, and a clear plan to rebuild strength.
Is it too late if my baby is older?
No. Many mothers start pelvic PT months or years after birth.
