PREGNANCY PHYSICAL THERAPY + BIRTH PREPARATION IN BRUNSWICK, MAINE
Prepare for birth with care designed around your body.
You may be taking a birth class, choosing your care team, and thinking carefully about how you want to give birth. You also deserve support understanding the body you will be birthing in. How comfortably can you move? Where are you holding tension? Can your pelvic floor relax and lengthen?
This is whole-body pregnancy physical therapy built around birth, not just symptoms. Posture, breath, pelvis, and nervous system work as one, so we prepare them together and build a practical plan for your pregnancy and your birth.
WHAT YOUR CARE INCLUDES
Hands on. Hands in. A plan for your pregnancy.
A whole-body assessment
We start with your pregnancy, health and birth history, and goals. Then we look at how you stand, breathe, move, and coordinate your pelvic floor, and how your rib cage, pelvis, and posture work together.
Hands on. Hands in.
External manual therapy for the abdomen, rib cage, pelvis, and surrounding tissues, plus internal pelvic floor assessment and treatment when appropriate. Internal work is always optional. Each step is explained, and you can pause or stop at any time.
Intentional movement for your trimester
Breathing, mobility, strength, and rest practices built around what we find and what fits your day. Your program changes as your pregnancy does.
Movement for your baby's journey
We explore the inlet, middle, and outlet of the pelvis and practice positions for each, so you have familiar options to draw on in labor.
Womb Space: focused third-trimester bodywork
As birth approaches, sessions can include Womb Space, gentle abdominal and external pelvic bodywork for pulling, pressure, and tension as your baby grows. It can be part of your 1:1 plan or booked as its own session in the third trimester.

When should I start?
Anytime in pregnancy. Earlier gives us more time, but it is never too late to begin.
Can I come in just for pregnancy pain?
Yes. Back, hip, pelvic, and rib pain are common reasons mothers first come in. Because the body works as a whole, easing that pain is often where preparing for birth begins.
Do I need an internal exam?
No. It's optional, discussed beforehand, and we can work entirely externally.
Can I do this alongside my midwife, OB, or a birth class?
Yes. This care complements your prenatal care and childbirth education.
Does this guarantee a certain kind of birth?
No. Birth depends on many factors. Our work supports your comfort, movement options, and preparation.
What does it cost?
Care is offered as individual sessions or a 1:1 birth preparation package. We'll go over options and investment on your free call.
